{ lessons learned }

The past month I have had to deal with some personal demons in my life. Things like pride, forgiveness, jealousy...to name a few. Here's a few thoughts that I've had running through my mind.

There are several sessions and weddings already booked in my 2010 calendar (that I am most definitely looking forward to!), but after much prayer I have decided to slow down and dramatically cut the number of photo shoots I will be doing in the next year. My body, my mind, and my family needs me to slow down. I'm not saying this to cause an influx of e-mails and requests for session dates. I am simply sharing what's going on with me. If you have a November session please get your signed contract and session fee in the mail to me soon! Contact me if have any questions.

If you have talked to me about a 2010 session date and have not received a contract in the mail yet, don't despair! I will be sending out all contracts for the new year in December. Please make you get those back to me within ten days of receiving to reserve your date. Dates are filling up fast, and as of today, my February is completely booked.

I had a last-minute cancellation, and I know everyone is busy, but if you want this spot, drop me an e-mail and you can have it for last month's beach special of $50.00! Get a jump start on Christmas card photos :-)

And on an even happier note, it's almost Friday and we're leaving for the lake!!

How cute are these? I'm happy to announce I am now offering these 3x3 mini-accordians! They are printed on press-quality paper, are two-sided and hold up to 10 of your favorite session photos. They came in several colors and are the *perfect* brag book! They come in sets of three -- one for each of the Grandma's and one for YOU!

Looking ahead into 2009.

Here we are only a week out from Christmas and I'm only two sessions away from being booked in March...no time to waste! I will be offering four spring mini-sessions, but they will be for Easter pictures ONLY and cannot be used for family, beach or senior sessions. These are ideal for Mom's that want a few portraits of their children in their Easter 'Duds.

The dates I have open for those are:

April 1st - April 11th, no exceptions! Book now!

It's contest time (get a little, give a little!) This has been a wonderful year in so many ways -- I never dreamed my photography business would grow so quickly. This whole dream of mine has been such a blessing and want to give back to those who have supported me so generously! I have picked my favorite images of 2008 and YOU get to VOTE on your favorite! If you have a mini-session in October or November and have NOT returned your contract w/session fee, your date is NOT booked...please return paperwork so I can arrange my schedule. :)

All dates still not reserved by Oct 31st will be considered open :)

2008 Holiday Card Slideshow

I have a slideshow up with all of the holiday cards Bella Blue will be offering ~ leave a comment or e-mail if you'd like the password to view them. All clients with sessions in October and November will be offered these along with access to my Christmas packages.

I am three sessions away from being book through November. I will be taking off the entire month of December (except for newborns) to ensure I get all holidays orders done/delivered and that I get to spend time with my family.


FYI: Many people have emailed me about having pictures taken in "the secret garden" ...because of it being private property there will only a handful of sessions done there. I will announce after the first of the year when those sessions can be scheduled. Signing up for my notify list on the right is the way to go! It will keep you up to speed in the happenings of bella blue. Just thought you should know :)

I'm also asking for your help; I am *always* scouting for new unique locations to take pictures...so if you know a yard or field or barn that's begging to be a background PLEASE let me know. Bella Blue thanks you! :)
