{saving the best for last}

If you *know* my cuz Kevin, you'll know why I titled this post what I did. As a "thank you" for allowing me use of his pond as a backdrop for a few family sessions I ran over Sunday afternoon and snapped a few of his "little" family.

So, this was my very last session of 2008 -- thanks for a fabulous, fun year! Keep on the lookout; the "get a little, give a little" contest starts soon!!

{two cool kiddos}

This brother and sister pair were a different change of pace for me ~ I didn't have to befriend them with candy or make silly faces to get them to smile. It was completely relaxed and well.....that's the best way to describe these tweens!

{mini-session overload}

This week has been a whirwind of mini-sessions and while I have had a blast ...whew, I'm feeling it! This girl is looking forward to a few weeks of R&R! I think Miss Priss is ready for her Mom to be at home more now too :)

Here's a few from this week's sessions...........more to come later tonite! ;)

Bailey & Brayden

Clay, Jobeth & Reese (who was simply adorable!)

{The heartbeat of a family is love...}

I met up with Becka's family yesterday afternoon at a beautiful pecan grove (thanks again Mr. Sidney!) ....and wow, it was a beautiful backdrop for a very lovely, very sweet family. Becka is one of my sister's best friends and so I consider her a friend of mine!

Hope you like this sneak peek!

blue-eyed babes

Sister & brother, Emma Grace and Ethan are not only blessed with sweet personalities, but with blue eyes that sparkle from afar. It took a bit of warming up, but I ended up with some precious photos that their parents (and Mimi!) are going to adore!

"A family is a gift that last forever"

My first session of the month; and if it is any of sign of what's to come....I'm in for a fun month :) This family is not only beautiful outside, but inside too. Mom is super sweet, Dad is funny, and the kids...well, they're gorgeous!

Here's your sneak peek Rhonda.....many more soon!

{little miss june}

This sweet wee one had the whole gang at Zan's bazaar in on this photo shoot. It was a challenge, but when I saw this photo I *knew* it was worth it. She's a lucky baby girl to be surrounded by such fun, loving, girly girls!

Hope you like Brandi! :) You have more to come!

a little bit vintage

Cherri and her mom, Charlotte, have the same appreciaton I have for old abandoned houses, fence posts, barns, and rusty old tractors...they make GREAT photo props :)

Cherri was game for anything; so I shot with a little bit of vintage style in mind. It's my first attempt and I think I may be hooked. I think it might have helped that I had such a great model! :)

I had a great time with both of you ladies and your slideshow will be ready soon!

"Family faces are like magic mirrors. Looking at people who belong to us, we see the past, present, and future."

It was a fun morning with the Chapman family...we thought we'd have to dodge rain, but the sun peaked out and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Towards the ends of the session I had them jumping for joy! ;)

"Like the sands of a beach are the sentences that begin with 'why'?"

When I spotted this quote, I *had* to share it. My session last night was with a very sweet family who includes a little boy Julian. His favorite word last night was (much like my my 4-yr-old) ..."WHY?" :)

The sun was gorgeous last night. While there, we were able to watch a wedding up on the dunes. It was beautiful! They took their after-ceremony shots as we walked and I took a few family photos!

Here's are few of my favorites from last night; Lots more coming Courtney! ;)

{time is flying}

Wasn't it just yesterday that Miss Reese had her very first photo session?

But, no, it's been five months! Look at how she's grown! Lots more to come, Mom & Dad ~ your gallery will be up soon!

12 to 21..

When the weatherman said it was going to feel like 100 outside yesterday, he wasn't lying! I met up with the Lairsey family for a secret family session (shhh! it's a surprise for Dad!) ....they were so so nice and completely willing to stand, sit, and lean anyway I told them to! ;)

Thanks you guys for a pleasant session and you have many more great photos coming your way! Enjoy!

{sweetness}

Who could resist this smile? Miss Olivia had her first photo-shoot today and she amazed me with her strength and her ability to scoot backwards at only four months old! She was quite a happy baby, especially when Daddy was around! I had a great time ~ thanks Kristen & Paul! Here's your preview!

The smallest bundles bring the greatest joy...

Isn't this one precious? He was just a week old on Tuesday and was sweet beyond words...he was a complete angel and took all of the posing and swaddling with such ease. Thank you Renee and Randy for having me in your lovely home! Enjoy your sneak peek!

{a natural}

I met up with Rhonda and her son Hazen this morning for a quick session in the sticky heat to catch a few shots in "the secret garden" ....we wrangled with humidity, gnats, and turkey-sized mosquitoes. No worries though ~ he was a natural. Here's a preview for Mom!

{that new baby smell}

Mr. Cooper was a hesitant participant today in our photoshoot, but at the end of the day, I captured a few special moments of this precious little one. Congrats Becka & Eric ~ he's perfect :)

Our memories of the ocean will linger on, long after our footprints in the sand are gone.

These two were such a fun couple ~ full of smiles, laughs and energy. They were a complete joy to photograph and I look forward to future sessions with them :) Enjoy your preview Velida!

Kate Page ....and family :)

I met up with Miss Kate and her parents this morning to capture a few shots of the little princess in action. She may not have wanted to keep her bow in, but she certainly was a doll! Enjoy!
